One of the things that we value at Camp Montessori is the power to choose. As a parent, you will choose the schedule and activities that best serves your child's needs (and yours): half days, full days, 3 days, 5 days, specialty or traditional camps, early or late care. We allow families to register for one week, eleven weeks, or anything in between.
When your camper is with us, he or she will also have choices: cooking, art, a hike in the woods, reading aloud, building a castle, designing a boat to sail from shore to shore on our creek. We believe that learning to make good choices for oneself is part of the important work of childhood, and we are here to support them in that process. If one choice doesn't work out well, the counselors are there to help your camper figure out why not, clean up, and choose something different! That's what friends are for.
